Used after hip replacement surgery I used this after my hip replacement surgery. The covering is durable, but awfully slippery. I covered it with a t-shirt to cut down on the sliding. I mostly used it in my car to keep my hip from passing that taboo 90 degree angle. It’s a little difficult to drive sitting that high up in my seat, but it allowed me to get around when I was going stir-crazy during recovery. It arrived in an incorrectly marked box. The box was for a smaller cushion. It was so tightly packed that I had to rip open the box to get it out, which I hated to do in case I wanted to return it. The cushion had a rip in it, but it was a straight cut, so I mended it with packing tape. Once I covered the item with a t-shirt, the rip was a moot point.

slippery but fixable. I purchased this for a hip replacement surgery. Some of the furniture in my house was a little too low to sit upon after i got home from the hospital. This cushion was a very wise purchase, as it helped me in my recovery period. My only complaint about this product is that the material in the cover is a bit slippery. Be prepared to slide off of it. HOWEVER, I read some of the other responses before my purchase and fixed the problem with a Medium sized T Shirt, pins and some duct tape. You could also use a twin sized “Jersey cotton” pillow case too, but it worked. Ps- the shoulder strap was a plus. easy to take with you from room to room, or out and about.Hey Makers of this cushion: can you make a no slip cover for this thing?

The cushion is a good height for making things like sitting at the dining room table comfortable. This cushion is firm – much more firm than sitting on a couple of pillows – though not uncomfortably so. I appreciate the handle strap, too, which makes it convenient to carry this cushion, even while I’m on crutches.
