Great for flexing your hand out (backwards)… I was having some hand issues, so I started using those balls that everyone uses to squish.Well, it didn’t help at all, and made my condition worse. Then someone (physical therapist) told me I needed to stretch my hands back, not grip a ball at all, as my problem was I was typing too much as well as other things. So I was already gripping all day (typing and what not…), so I needed to do the opposite with my hands. So, she recommended this product.Boy, was she right! My hands started feeling better in no time.I never even knew a device like this existed. Great buy and great for you!In fact, I use it now without the balls and just use the rubber strap. The unit comes with lots of extras. .Good luck!

Wonderful for Rehab I originally purchased this for my husband who enjoys climbing (rock and bouldering) to help with hand strength and flexibility, but he seriously injured his shoulder prior to receiving it. He’s now using the soft set for rehab/therapy on the one side where he had surgery and the medium and firm on the other side. He prefers this style of physical therapy over just using the balls as it offers a completely different style of exercise. You’re getting resistance both while squeezing the ball as well as when you stretch out your fingers. The set comes with 3 balls – soft, medium, and firm as well as 2 sets of soft, medium, and firm grips. The grips come in two different sizes to accommodate different hand/finger sizes. My husband, who has fairly large hands, uses the large size with no issues. The small size works for my small hands/fingers. The grips need to be inserted into the balls before use. (You just use a paperclip to do this.)
