Small, portable, but with a major design issue I bought this because I wanted something small, portable, and quiet. It is certainly small and portable. We have a fair number of other exercise equipment, such as a row machine that I love, but being able to take it with me on trips or pull it out and use it in whatever room as we watch television, play a board game, or while I work was something that I really wanted this for. The problem, though, is that, while it certainly started off quiet, it won’t stay that way if you use it much at all unless you take apart the clamp on the base that provides resistance and put in packing grease. What they have done is made a plastic “clamp” that provides resistance as you peddle. Just as described This folding pedal exerciser is exactly as described. It’s simple to assemble and start up, and it’s of reasonable construction. It’s very lightweight and folds to a compact size for storage, and yet it’s steady enough to be pedaled fairly vigorously. I’ve no idea if the monitor is accurate but I’m concerned more with the exercise than with how many revolutions I’m doing or calories I’m burning. I think it’s a great value for its price point.
