Small, portable, but with a major design issue I bought this because I wanted something small, portable, and quiet. It is certainly small and portable. We have a fair number of other exercise equipment, such as a row machine that I love, but being able to take it with me on trips or pull it out and use it in whatever room as we watch television, play a board game, or while I work was something that I really wanted this for. The problem, though, is that, while it certainly started off quiet, it won’t stay that way if you use it much at all unless you take apart the clamp on the base that provides resistance and put in packing grease. What they have done is made a plastic “clamp” that provides resistance as you peddle. The screw near the top compresses that clamp, making it provide more resistance as you peddle. This results in excessive heat on the metal holding the peddles (so don’t touch the metal if you’ve been peddling for a minute or more or you can really burn yourself) and the heat stresses the…

Perfect for someone who is a fall risk but needs … Perfect for someone who is a fall risk but needs to continue exercise. For instance, my mother has rheumatoid arthritis and due to a surgery is short term on pain killers. She needs to be extra cautious to not fall right now, but wanted to continue getting exercise for her legs, especially her knees. This is working perfectly for that purpose.

Just as described This folding pedal exerciser is exactly as described. It’s simple to assemble and start up, and it’s of reasonable construction. It’s very lightweight and folds to a compact size for storage, and yet it’s steady enough to be pedaled fairly vigorously. I’ve no idea if the monitor is accurate but I’m concerned more with the exercise than with how many revolutions I’m doing or calories I’m burning. I think it’s a great value for its price point.
