Problems with monitor, strips, and customer service This company makes you scan the bottle and doesn’t let you use the test strip if they’re beyond the expiration date. (The app on your phone rejects the strips.) It would nice if they just tracked the expiration date of the strips and warned you if they’re expired. But it ticks me off that they won’t even let me use the strips if I choose to.I also had a bad experience with their customer service. I had a bunch of strips that wouldn’t scan. At first they offered to send me replacements free of charge. But then a few days later they started emailing me and asking me to go through a bunch of tests to figure out why the strips weren’t scanning properly. It wasn’t worth the hassle, so I just threw the strips away. Finally, I’ve also had occasional problems with the bluetooth monitor. It sometimes loses pairing with my iPhone and I have to delete it from the phone and discover and pair it all over from scratch.

Save hundreds of dollars with this incredible system By far the most affordable test strips you’ve ever bought. Save hundreds of dollars a year. These are probably cheaper than your typical co-pay. You do have to use their smart phone app and it has to be a fairly new and up to date one with a current operating system. The only people that have problems with their app and device seem to be those people that are very uncomfortable with using technology. If you or the person that would use this system still has 12:00 flashing on a VCR this is not for you! However if you like tech, have a recent phone you will love their meter system. Most glitches in the app seem to be caused by people having their “Power Saving Mode” turned on. Simply turn that off before plugging in their reader.

Strips Give Random Inconsistent Readings These strips are extremely inaccurate. I cannot say for sure if it is the strips or the meter as I can only use this brand of strips with the iHealth Meter. However I did get one (1) container of strips that were less off than usual during the time I was using them.I currently have 2 blood glucose meters with matching strips. One one meter, a less expensive store brand that I’ll call Meter 1, seems to provide results consistent with my food/carb intake. If I expect my readings to be a little higher or lower than my norm, the results are in kind. The readings from the iHealth meter and strips, taken at the same time, are almost always higher or lower than the readings with Meter 1. Also, the iHealth readings are inconsistent in how much the numbers vary from Meter 1 by as much as 5 to 25 points higher or lower! Further, when I immediately take a second set of readings with the iHealth meter and strips, the readings do not even come close to matching it’s own readings. Again…
