Because I use it for the first joint of my indexfinger, I have to take it off to use the joint. For more on-going solutions that did not require taking it on and off, other straps to go arund the wrist or something to hold it onwould insure these did not slip around a bit or come off. A perfect solution to periodic arthritis pain in the thumb….. Firstly, I received a very nice email from the owner of this shop and was very impressed with the kind sentiment and gratitude for my business. Secondly, this just plain works! I get period excruciating pain in my right thumb from arthritis and used to tape it up overnight and the next day it would be fine. But with this, it’s just a perfect little splint that I can put on and take off without wasting tape and time. Quick, easy, effective. Can’t do better! Thank you!

Effectiveness is Questionable I tried this for the better part of two weeks. The result was some quite painful blisters and a very sore knuckle joint. These would work well for a fracture, but does little for an arthritic joint.
