Be Warned! If You Want to Return This (and You Will Want to) You Can’t. $65 Down the Drain Completely useless, and I was shocked to learn that I could not return it! The description makes it seem like you can use it in several positions, but in fact you can only use it with your arm pointed straight up. I need my arm to be inclined (broken wrist and surgery) but not to be pointed straight up, which with this thing was extremely uncomfortable. $65 down the drain, thinking of breaking a friend’s arm so I can give it to them. My friend suggested that perhaps the cat would like to crawl around in it (probably so I don’t break their arm).
Must if you have wrist thumb surgery Don’t know what I would have done without this after my CMC joint surgery. I needed it for perhaps 10 days or so and only place I could find it was here on amazon. I am a nurse and knew that I would have to have something to hold my hand above my heart after surgery. Thank God I had this. I slept in easy chair for about 4/5 nights and kept ice on it 24 hours…yes that is what one needs to do to prevent taking more pain pills. The ice I got was CryoMAX Reusable, Latex Free, 8 Hour Cold Pack, Medium, 12″ x 6″ (1 Count) and had several on tap to change out and they last almost 6 hours….take my advice if you are having any wrist or hand or thumb surgery you need this.
No swelling with this thing! After having painful swelling on another hand surgery a few years ago, I was determined to avoid that with the most recent CMC thumb reconstruction surgery. This thing worked great! I slept in a recliner the first 10 days and was so comfortable with my hand resting up in this thing. It didn’t even feel like it was up. Absolutely no swelling of my fingers this time. This is very expensive but the price for considerably less pain for many days after a big surgery….priceless. I couldn’t find a way to use it comfortably in bed, but it worked great in the recliner and in the car.
