The Graduated Sets of 3 sizes are ideal for those trying Oval-8 Finger Splints for the first time. Graduated Sets give you a good chance of finding the right fit for your finger condition now and you have extra sizes if swelling or temperature changes affect your finger. Use Oval-8 Finger Splints to treat Arthritis, Mallet Finger, Swan Neck and Boutonniere Injuries, Trigger Finger or Thumb, Hyper-flexible and Crooked Fingers. SIZING: Choosing the correct Oval-8 size can be affected by swelling, temperature and by how precisely the measurement is made. To choose a size likely to fit your finger, wrap a tailor’s measuring tape around the finger joint you are treating. Pull lightly so the tape conforms smoothly around your finger. Use the sizing chart to find the size range closest to your measurement. You can also measure using a jeweler’s ring sizer placed around the joint you are treating or with the Oval-8 Sizing Guide. Oval-8 sizes are precisely calibrated. The difference in circumference from one size to the next is only 1/16-inch to 1/8-inch and can be affected by minor swelling or by how the splint is worn. The sizing method described may not be 100 percent accurate for all fingers. Oval-8 Finger Splints may need to be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints for the most successful treatment. NOTE: Oval-8 Finger Splints are not recommended for children under the age of 4 as they may cause choking if swallowed. Do not use an Oval-8 over an open sore or wound. Wait until any significant swelling has subsided before wearing an Oval-8 Finger Splint. It is recommended that you discuss use of this splint with your health care provider.

I can’t imagine anything that would work better! Just what was needed for my mallet finger! I measured per the recommendations and decided that one of these, 6/7/8 set would likely fit my injured finger. Sure enough, size seven was just right. It immobilized the DIP and still allowed me to move the middle joint, mostly. The mostly is where it gets interesting. While the movement allowed at the middle joint was enough, I have short fingers and play the guitar finger style and I did not want to irritate the skin that close to the…

Brilliant Who knew such a simple plastic loop would work. I’ve been using elastic sleeves for my little finger. My finger wobbles like those toy donkeys strung by elastic bands. You push up on the base and the donkey collapses.. you know. :)This gadget keeps my wayward pinki finger from flexing backward when I hit the shift key.Genius I tell you!Enjoy the photos.

Its ok for Trigger thumb, not a great fit, would be better for other fingers I needed this for Trigger thumb. I had been wearing a big ace bandage type of splint thing but wanted something smaller and washable. The pain in the thumb is on the base. The splint hits it at that spot and is sore. I spun the splint around a bit so it doesn’t hit that spot, but the size 9 is too tight, the size 10 slips off. I measured my thumb joint and it measured as a size 8 at exactly 2.5 inches..good thing I bought the 3 pack as the size 8 doesn’t fit at all. I needed to secure this…
